EFITA newsletter / 267 / European Federation for Information Technology in Agriculture, Food and the Environment

Point of view (in Fr-English): new proposals
With the framework of two French calls for project proposals, we recently submitted two proposals:
- the first one (ministry in charge of industry and commerce) about EDI with a mapping of data exchanges in Agriculture,
- the second one (ministry in charge of agriculture) to develop an agricultural web TV for training and information dissemination (together with web conferencing and videoconferencing through the web).
The success of these proposals is not certain at all since experts evaluating project proposals are more oriented towards "real" technical and scientific approaches. ICT or e.g. management are not their first concerns. Most often they do not see how it is important to develop tools and methods that will help farmers and agricultural organisations to adopt new technologies, and e.g. it is always funny to see them very happy to still publish on paper and disappointed to publish only on the web.

Administrative burdens

Cómo seleccionar empleados... (in Spanish)
