EFITA 2007 “Environmental and rural sustainability through ICT
The plans for this years conference are very exciting with a range of papers
and poster sessions, short and long, and demonstrations of software both commercial
and research based. As well as the stimulation of the conference itself delegates
will be welcomed with a civic reception, offered the opportunity to sample Scotland’s
national drink and banqueted at the famous Sterling Castle.
If you have something to say about the way that ICT can be, is, or should be
used to support the farm business, protect the environment or support rural
communities then send in your abstract now. The deadline for abstracts, 30th
November, is fast approaching. For more information and instructions to authors
go to the conference web-site at: efitaglasgow.org"

We hope that information exchanges will increase with the development web
services based on the above free tools. My information is also related to E-Agriculture,
which is called by FAO.
We have developed a Joomla e-community, where students try to develop project.
Some of these projects are related to agriculture. Most of them are in Czech.
But, our portal is in English. We hope that clever tools, which are implemented
there, will help both students, and projects to grow to maturity.

You gotta hand it to George
Mildred, the church gossip, and self-appointed monitor of the church's morals,
kept sticking her nose into other people's business. Although many members did
not approve of her extra curricular activities, they feared her enough to maintain
their silence.
She made a mistake, however, when she accused George, a new church member, of
being an alcoholic after she saw his old pickup parked in front of the town's
only bar one afternoon. She emphatically told George and several others that
everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing.
George, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment, then just turned on
his heel and walked away. He didn't explain, defend, or deny. He said nothing.
Later that evening, George quietly parked his pickup in front of Mildred's house,
walked home.... and left it there all night.
You gotta hand it to George.
