Objectives:

The Association support the development of Information Society in agriculture and rural area with participation in research project, development and making expert studies on ICT. Initiating proposals, establishing awards, organizing forums, conferences, seminars and workshops. Important objectives the dissemination of informatics knowledge and the internet culture in research, education, extension, agribusiness, farming and rural development.

Activities:


The Association organises workshops, forums and major conferences, take part to make national agricultural informatics strategy plan, feasibility studies. The HAAI Co-operate with the government, professional organizations and maintains a website, issues electronic Newsletter.  With these activities the associations keeps the membership up to date with international ITC developments and recruits new members.

Other:

The Agricultural Informatics 2002 Conference of the HAAI was held in august, 2002. The conference proceedings can be found on http://www.date.hu/ia2002/ with English abstracts. The HAAI organises the 4th EFITA Conference with EFITA and University of Debrecen ( http://www.date.hu/efita2003/ ).
