EFITA newsletter / 369 / European Federation for Information Technology in Agriculture, Food and the Environment

An Irish friend proposed me to enjoy this video. I did not really!

I understand that it is only a comedy, and it is just for fun. I respect the Irish No vote as well as the French one or the Dutch one. The Lisbon treaty is not that important. With the treaty or without it, the most important is to work and to progress together. And e.g. with the treaty or without it, the European Parliament could be more active!
But as grandson of Jewish people who were deported and died in Auschwitz, I do not really appreciate this comparison between the third German Reich and the European Union. I know that my parents owed their survival to all the British, Canadian, American (and let me tell Russian too even if friends from Eastern Europe may not agree) and many other guys (among them many French "resistants" and soldiers) who died for the liberty of Europe. And I also know that the friendship between France and Germany is essential for me. It is a kind of miracle after so many centuries of conflicts and eventually two world wars. Please let this miracle go on…

Marriage (Part IV)
A man has six children and is very proud of his achievement.
He is so proud of himself, that he starts calling his wife,' Mother of Six' in spite of her objections.
One night, they go to a party.  The man decides that it IS time to go home and wants to find out if his wife is ready to leave as well.  He shouts at the top of his voice,
'Shall we go home Mother of Six?'
His wife, irritated by her husband's lack of discretion, shouts right back, 'Any time you're ready, Father of Four.'
