Call for Papers for the Artificial Economics 2011 conference
1 - 2 September 2011 - The Hague, The Netherlands
The international conference is devoted to recent scientific advances in the
field of Agent-Based Computational Economics. Agent-based Computational Economics
deals with the computational study of economies as complex adaptive systems,
composed of interacting agents with cognitive skills. This area has provoked
a great deal of academic interest in various fields of Economics, especially
in relation to Complex Systems approaches.
We cordially invite you to submit a short paper, for which the deadline will
be February 7th, 2011.

The conference is organised by the Hellenic
Association for Information and Communication Technologies in Agriculture
Food and Environment (HAICTA) with the support of it's Brach in Northern and Central Greece in cooperation
with a number of associated Institutions:

The organiser's goal is to organise a Conference to host in a friendly and
warm environment experienced researchers, practitioners, ICT specialists and
young PhD students in the field of ICT in Agri-Production and Environment.
A series of social events will be organised including a gala dinner, lunch
and coffee breaks. A daily excursion at the 11th of September is also planned.
We accept submissions of original research papers and posters for the main
program and the doctoral consortium in all areas of ICT in Agriculture, Food
and Environment including but not limited to:

The HAICTA 2011 scientific committee invites
proposals for workshops and for
tutorials to be held in conjunction with the conference.
Proposals should be submitted electronically by March 30, 2011 to scientific
commitee chairs.

Papers will be accepted after double blind review process by at least two
members of the Scientific Committee.

All accepted papers and posters (including doctoral consortium) will be published
in the conference proceedings which will be published by the HAICTA. Furthermore,
selected papers will be published in special issues of scientific journals
(negotiation in progress, more details will be provided soon).

> April 26, 2011: Submissions due (for every type of paper submission:
full research papers, posters, doctoral consortium research papers).
> June 7, 2011: Notification of acceptance for all submissions.
> July 5, 2011: > Camera Ready Paper Submission.
> 8-11 September, 2011: Conference in Skiathos, Greece.

Reflexiones sobre el ejercicio
Mi abuela comenzó caminando 3 kilómetros al día cuando tenía 60 años.
Ahora tiene 97 y no sabemos dónde está.
La única razón por la que empezaría a hacer footing es porque así volvería
a escuchar una respiración jadeante.
Tengo que hacer ejercicio muy temprano por la mañana, antes de que mi cerebro
se dé cuenta de lo que estoy haciendo.
No hago ningún ejercicio. Si la naturaleza hubiera querido que nos tocáramos
la punta de los pies, los habría puesto más arriba.
Tengo los muslos flácidos, pero afortunadamente los tapa mi estómago.
La ventaja de hacer ejercicio todos los días es que te mueres en un excelente
estado de salud.
Finalmente, se ha documentado hasta el hartazgo que, por cada kilómetro que
trotas, añades un minuto a tu vida. Esto te permite que, cuando cumplas los
85 años, tengas derecho a cinco meses de vida adicionales... en un geriátrico,
a 5.000 euros por mes.
