ECPA 2017 – The 11th European Conference on Precision Agriculture
16-20 July 2017 - EDINBURG
It is 20 years since the first ECPA conference and the UK organisers are
pleased to welcome the return of the conference to the UK and to Edinburgh.
The conference will continue with a successful format of previous conferences
building in strong industry sessions and participation. The theme of ‘Innovating
through Research’ will enable all involved in Precision Agriculture to
participate.
As per usual, ECPA ’17 will welcome papers on all aspects of precision
agriculture related to any cropping system – from soil and crop sensing,
to data management, information systems and spatial decision support systems.
In addition, we would like to invite contributions in two ‘new’ areas:
Firstly, contributions with an emphasis on precision forage production
are invited. Grass is a key ‘crop’ in cold climes and an area in which
precision agriculture technologies have been poorly exploited to date.
Secondly, on this 20th anniversary, we would like to invite contributions
that address success in translational activities in Precision Agriculture.
Through all the research and promise of the past two decades, we would
like to hear how and where the commercial and agronomic impact has been
and its effect on agriculture. I am sure we have some very interesting
successful (and perhaps not so successful) stories that we can all learn
from. Both these areas will have dedicated sessions within the conference.
>>> Key dates
- Abstract submission deadline 12th October, 2016
- Notification of acceptance 24th October, 2016
- Full Paper submission 9 th December, 2016
- Conference 16th -20th July, 2017
