Future of Farming: Big data and precision agriculture
25 October - PARIS (at the British Embassy in Paris, close to the Palais de l'Élysée)
The British Embassy and the French think tank saf agr’iDées are organising this event in partnership, with an exclusive international perspective on the uses of Big data in agriculture. New developments in the sector, with the help of innovative technological solutions, are supporting a move towards an increasingly measured form of agriculture, or precision agriculture. Thus, more and more public and private stakeholders are developing new models to collect and process agricultural data, which in turn benefit every stage of the value chain, from producers to consumers. Our panel discussions and international speakers will highlight several of these initiatives, both individual and collective, which aim to provide solutions to the current economic, social and environmental sustainability challenges facing agriculture.
In order to promote further discussion, a networking business lunch is scheduled with stands showcasing UK and French companies and start-ups specialising in Big data, collaborative economy and smart agriculture.
