History of farm computing in New Zealand
Anyone interested in the development of farm software and the introduction of computing to farmers will find a new book covering the early years of some interest.

The book ‘Dare to compute … the early years in the development of farm computer systems’, by P Nuthall, is available from https://shop.lincoln.ac.nz
 and covers the years 1980 through to 1995.

Amongst other topics, it highlights some of the issues involved in setting up an organisation to design, develop, test and market farm software as well as run farmer training courses. The initial work was funded by the Kellogg Foundation.

Age (take care of the symbol "square root")

OldAge = 10 × √(CurrentAge)

Hence:

When you are 16, old people are 40;

When you are approaching 50, old people are 70; and

When you are 100, you know you’re old!

Very old stereotypes
