The German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Julia Klöckner opened the International Green Week 2019 in Berlin with a speech in which she underlined the importance of precision agriculture.
“Over the many decades food production has changed. It has become more modern, more mechanised, more digital, more interconnected, more global and more traceable”, Klöckner said in het opening speech to the International Green Week 2019.

NPPL stands for Nationale Proeftuin Precisielandbouw. The project is initiated by the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. Topic group 1: “Sensors” This topic group refers to the development or optimization of sensors and electronics for agricultural applications, such as field scouting and crop parameters monitoring. Particular sub-topics could be: - New sensors (optical, reflectance, etc.) - Wireless sensor networks - Image processing Agricultural robots are also within this topic, focusing on automation and control technologies to optimise robotic applications in agriculture. Particular sub-topics could be: - Scouting Robots - Action Robots - Machine embedded ICT tools Topic group 2: “Data” This topic group is related to all technologies and software that cure data mining, data warehousing, visualisation, knowledge extraction, big data management. Talking dog
A guy spots a sign outside a house that reads “Talking Dog for Sale.” Intrigued, he walks in.
“So what have you done with your life?” he asks the dog.
“I’ve led a very full life,” says the dog. “I lived in the Alps rescuing avalanche victims. Then I served my country in Iraq. And now I spend my days reading to the residents of a retirement home.”
The guy is flabbergasted. He asks the dog’s owner, “Why on earth would you want to get rid of an incredible dog like that?”
The owner says, “Because he’s a liar! He never did any of that!”
