APFITA 2019 Early bird registration deadline (30 of August) 29 October - 1 November - Taichung - Taiwan Good old days I am not sure that we Americans can claim that we know proper English, but I was always struck by the use of “The Old Good Days?” in the newsletter. I can state that we usually speak of “the good old days” and we generally use this phrase in reference to a positive reflection on the past. Your use of “old good days” along with the “?” made one think about whether the picture really inspired a positive reflection on past practices. For a precision management readership, my sense is that virtually every reader is seeing the pictures and thinking ‘we need to keep looking for better ways of doing things’. Bottom line, I am not convinced that conforming to proper English will serve your intent with these pictures. Or, while generally it’s good to be correct, sometimes a little mild sarcasm is appropriate. Contact: Richard R. My English is really poor and I will not try to enter in the discussion about how to best express my point of view. You are right about my intention to demonstrate that many people should have a better knowledge of what was the life of farmers a few years ago!
