Dr Martin Luther KING quoted by Most Rev Michael CURRY, the first black presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church in the US Second thought for today about the power of love If human beings ever harness the energies of love, then for the second time in history, we will have discovered fire. The key benefits of ImpactVision’s system for foreign object detection are that it is non-invasive, suitable for production-grade speeds, detects non magnetic materials i.e. plastic, paper, cardboard, bones, textiles and fibres, IP65 graded (protected from dust ingress and high pressure water jets), integrates with alarms/rejection systems and a web-based analytics service for remote monitoring can be provided. See: https://agfundernews.com/impactvision-can-detect-foreign-objects-in-food-using-hyperspectral-imagery.html We Phen- KNOW- type Plant-DiTech provides agro-researchers with an easy to use, high-throughput plant growth experimental and phenotyping platform, as well as real-time diagnostic software tools to efficiently find the right plants, traits and materials which contribute to better yields and stress response Plant-DiTech simultaneously controls and measures a large array of plants via feedback irrigation techniques and multiple precise sensors. The system monitors functional growth and productivity parameters from each plant under different abiotic and soil conditions. The big data is transformed into valuable knowledge to better predict yields and speed up the discovery of new plant mechanisms, growth enhancers and tolerant plants. The question remains, with pressing new technologies, such as gene-editing, to sell to both farmers and the public, is the new entity’s ability to build trust with its stakeholders going to be affected by the people it has chosen to tell the story? See: https://agfundernews.com/bayer-monsanto-merger-execs.html Management: Mental capacity and consolidation by David Kohl Farm consolidation is very important in the future, but does the next generation have the ability to take it on? .../... The adequacy of mental capacity is being revealed in the current economic cycle. When commodity prices were high, complacent businesses were still able to make a profit despite good business management practices being a low priority. Now, in the downturn, these same businesses are being exposed because they lack the chief financial officer and/or chief operating officer type of management skills necessary to manage through the current economic times. In solving this issue, important questions must be asked about the stakeholders. These questions can be labeled as the “GWC’s.” Do they get it? Do they want it? Do they have the capacity to manage the demands of a larger business? When the business management team exhibits these characteristics, the probability of success increases dramatically. At a recent question and answer session during a producer conference, one participant from Pennsylvania asked, “What is the future of the small family farm in Pennsylvania and across the U.S.?” See: http://www.cornandsoybeandigest.com/management/future-small-farms

Funny (traditional) advices for your children & grandchildren… Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it! Rule 2: The world doesn't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself. Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car-phone until you earn both. Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger-flipping: They called it opportunity. Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them. Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were: So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parents’ generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.. Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. *This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life. Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. *Do that on your own time. Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life, people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs. Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.
